Broadsystem Brings SMS to Edinburgh TV
Festival
Broadsystem, the UK’s leading Participation TV service
provider, is supporting this year’s MediaGuardian Edinburgh International
TV Festival, by sponsoring and providing daily SMS news services for
delegates and an SMS competition in conjunction with a festival seminar
on ‘Reality and Audience Participation TV Shows’.
The 3-day festival takes place in Edinburgh from 22-24 August, and will be visited
by nearly 2000 members of the television industry.
Broadsystem is providing free SMS text messaging to subscribed delegates on each
of the 3 days of the festival to ensure they have access to breaking news, delegate
facilities and details of the programme line-up, which includes:
industry lectures by key TV figures such as the BBC’s director general,
Greg Dyke and Tony Ball, chief executive of BskyB,
on a more light-hearted note, Michael Barrymore will talk on the topic of ‘TV
Presenters Behaving Badly’,
while Jane Root and Dawn Airey get the Trinny & Susannah treatment, with
a specially filmed Edinburgh edition of ‘What Not To Wear’.
Broadsystem also sponsors notebooks for the festival handed out on arrival to
ensure delegates can jot down pearls of wisdom gathered from the programme.
